Katie & Aaron’s Wedding at St Pierre Park, Guernsey

Katie and Aaron’s wedding day was one of those celebrations that felt relaxed, fun, and full of personality from start to finish. My job as their photographer was to keep up with it all, from the quiet moments in the morning to the dancefloor sunglasses in the evening.

Their daughter, Nuala, definitely played a starring role. At just 18 months old in her little white dress, she kept everyone smiling and was never far from the action.

The day started at Katie’s family home, where Hidden Beauty Makeup and Meraki Hair worked their magic. There were bridesmaids in matching green dresses, plenty of laughter, and even the family pets making cameo appearances while I captured details like shoes, dresses, and the bouquet by Jamblin Flowers. Meanwhile, over at St Pierre Park, Aaron and the groomsmen were busy with green ties, braces, and the usual mixture of nerves and jokes that come with getting ready.

The ceremony brought a bit of Guernsey drizzle, but a few umbrellas solved that. The light rain didn’t get in the way of confetti showers or big smiles — if anything, it added a little atmosphere without soaking us all through.

Inside the hotel, Bonita Events had put together a brilliant setup for the reception. There was a thoughtful soft play space for kids, which was a big hit, and tables decorated with personal touches. Instead of a traditional cake, Katie and Aaron went for a doughnut tower from Senners Bakery, which looked fantastic and disappeared fast.

Music from La Quaratette carried the afternoon along beautifully, and by the evening, the party was in full swing. Guests wore novelty sunglasses, the bubble machine made another appearance, and the dancefloor didn’t stay empty for long. Before the light faded completely, we slipped out into the gardens for some relaxed couple portraits around the grounds of St Pierre Park, while the groomsmen and bridesmaids brought plenty of energy for their group shots.
