Eleanor & Simon’s Wedding at St Pierre Park, Guernsey
Eleanor and Simon’s wedding at St Pierre Park in Guernsey was the kind of day where meaningful moments and a lot of fun sat side by side. From heartfelt letters exchanged in the morning to shots handed out down the aisle (yes, actual shots), there was never a shortage of things to capture.

The morning began at St Pierre Park, where Eleanor and her bridesmaids got ready with the help of Hidden Beauty Makeup and Innovate Hair Design. Flower crowns were the finishing touch, alongside the necklace Eleanor wore in memory of her mum — a detail I made sure to photograph carefully with the rings. Meanwhile, across town, Simon and the groomsmen were getting ready at his mum’s house. The prep involved cufflinks, sunglasses, and fireball shots — plus an emergency DIY belt adjustment that required a drill in the garden. (Nothing says “wedding morning” like a bit of power-tool problem solving.)

The ceremony took place outdoors by the fountain at St Pierre Park, and the sunshine couldn’t have been better. Guests were all smiles as the groomsmen walked down the aisle handing out actual shots — probably the only time you’ll hear the phrase “aisle shots” used both in photography and catering. It was a brilliant way to kick things off, and the confetti photos afterwards carried the same energy.

Inside, St Pierre Park once again shone, with Bronwyn and the team transforming the main room with giant LOVE letters and beautiful décor. Silken Garden and Sprinkle of Magic added floral and styling touches that made the room feel vibrant and personal, while Forest Stores and Joys contributed to the day in their own creative ways. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Simon and Eleanor cut into a tower of cheese — a decision that went down very well with their guests (and gave me some unique detail shots).

The speeches were a brilliant mix of humour and heartfelt stories, followed by a packed dancefloor. Between the DJ set from The Six, the photo fun from Memories Photobooth, and a generous amount of fireball fuelling the groomsmen, it was a night that didn’t slow down.
