Trying out the maMiya 7ii

So I have been meaning to invest some money into a high end film camera as the recent popularity spike in film has quickly driven prices of these second hand cameras almost out of reach. I asked my friend Richard if he would lend me his Mamiya 7ii to try out for a weekend and see how I got on with it before deciding if i should spend some serious bucks.

I’m totally in love with the images I get from this camera they are some of my favourite by far, BUT I’m really struggling using the rangefinder system.
Not being able to preview the depth of field in my images and having part of the bottom right of the image obscured by the lens that’s actually taking the photo!

But… I mean… look at the photos it takes…!
