When’s the best time to book our couple session?
Spring and autumn are ideal, March to May or September to October usually offer the best weather and light. Summer is peak wedding season so availability is very limited. Winter sessions are fine as well, we’ll just need to stay flexible in case of bad weather. If you’d like to use your photos for save-the-dates or invites, book with plenty of time for editing and printing.
What should we wear?
Whatever feels like you. Neutral and earthy tones tend to work best outdoors, and solid colours photograph more naturally than bold patterns or logos. If your style leans bright or expressive, that’s great too, we can plan the shoot around your look. The main thing is that you feel relaxed, comfortable, and confident on the day.
Where can the session take place?
Anywhere in Guernsey that feels meaningful to you, beaches, cliff paths, quiet lanes, or even your home. Many couples pick places that already hold memories, like where they got engaged or enjoy walking together. I’m happy to travel anywhere on the island and can help you choose if you’re unsure of a good spot.
What time of day is best for photos?
The golden hour, roughly an hour before sunset, gives the softest and most flattering light. If we need to shoot earlier, that’s fine too, I’ll work with the light available, finding shaded areas or cover to keep everything looking natural. The focus is always on creating something calm and flattering.
What happens if the weather’s bad?
I’m happy to keep things flexible if the forecast changes. Cloudy days actually look great in photos, but if it’s heavy rain or strong wind, we can reschedule at no extra cost. We’ll always aim for conditions that feel comfortable and make the most of the surroundings.
How long does it take to get our photos?
You’ll usually receive your full gallery within 2–3 weeks of the shoot. If you’re planning to use your photos for wedding stationery or gifts, just let me know and I’ll aim to deliver them sooner. Every gallery is fully edited, ready to download, and easy to share with family and friends.
