Jenna & Alex’s Heartfelt Wedding at Les Cotils, Guernsey

On May 17, 2025, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Jenna and Alex's wedding in Guernsey.

The day commenced at Les Cotils, a Victorian house nestled in 12 acres of gardens with views stretching to Herm, Jethou, and Sark. Jenna and her bridal party prepared there, with Hair by Sophie and makeup by Shanine Levrier ensuring everyone looked radiant. Jenna's gown from Blush Bridal Boutique, tailored by Sew Guernsey, was a vision of elegance. Meanwhile, Alex readied himself at their home, exuding calm anticipation.

The ceremony took place at St Joseph & St Mary Catholic Church in St Peter Port, a stunning example of 14th-century Decorated Gothic architecture. The church's Caen stone pillars and stained glass windows provided a breathtaking backdrop as Jenna and Alex exchanged vows. Post-ceremony, family photos were a priority, especially capturing moments with Jenna's grandmother

Guests were then surprised with a whimsical ride on the Petit Train to Les Cotils for the reception. While they enjoyed the journey, Jenna and Alex had their couple portraits taken at Candie Gardens, a botanical haven with views over the harbor. Later, as the sun began to set, we captured golden hour portraits in the gardens of Les Cotils, the light adding a magical glow to the images.

The reception at Les Cotils was a blend of elegance and heartfelt touches. Joys Events adorned the space with ceiling lights and foliage, creating a cozy ambiance. A daisy wreath at the top table paid tribute to Jenna's late mother, a poignant reminder of love enduring. Speeches brought tears and laughter, reflecting the deep connections shared among all present.

Instead of a traditional cake, the couple opted for a stylish doughnut tower by Senners, which they cut before their first dance. The intimate atmosphere continued into the evening, with no separate evening guests, allowing for a relaxed and personal celebration.
