Guenrsey wedding photos, Cara-Leah and Charlie's wedding Day at The Farmhouse

As a wedding photographer in Guernsey, I recently had the honor of capturing the beautiful wedding of Cara-Leah McKay and Charlie Hilton-Smith at The Farmhouse Hotel. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Bridal Preparations at The Farmhouse Hotel: A Morning of Anticipation

The day started with an air of excitement as I arrived at The Farmhouse Hotel to photograph Cara-Leah and her bridal party. Hidden Beauty worked their magic on makeup, while Sophie Williams styled the hair. The atmosphere was lively and filled with special moments as everyone got ready for the big day.

Meanwhile, Charlie and his groomsmen were getting ready at their apartment. The camaraderie and light-hearted banter among the groomsmen made for some fantastic candid shots as they suited up in their outfits from Marc Darcy.

A Heartfelt Outdoor Wedding Ceremony in Guernsey

The ceremony was truly special, held in the lush gardens of The Farmhouse and officiated by John Fitzgerald. The Little Torteval Flower Company provided stunning floral arrangements that added to the enchanting setting. One of the highlights was when Cara-Leah and Charlie's adorable Cavachon, Ginny, walked down the aisle with them, wearing a custom flower collar.

Picture-Perfect Wedding Reception at The Farmhouse Hotel

After the ceremony, we moved on to family group photos, capturing the joy and unity of the occasion. Cara-Leah and Charlie then had some intimate couple photos, including a special session with Ginny. We popped to some fields behind The Farmhouse provided the perfect backdrop.

The reception kicked off with the newlyweds' grand entrance, followed by heartfelt speeches that had everyone laughing and tearing up. Dinner was served, and the delicious spread was enjoyed by all the guests.

Golden Hour Fun and Evening Celebrations in Guernsey

As the sun set, guests enjoyed a coffee and tea break, and more friends and family arrived. The golden hour provided ideal lighting for a fun champagne photo session in the gardens. I asked Cara-Leah and Charlie to aim the champagne at the camera, and we captured some lively and joyful shots as the champagne sprayed everywhere.

The cake-cutting ceremony featured a beautiful cake by Ron McKenzie, followed by the couple's first dance. This emotional moment set the stage for a night of dancing and celebration. Later in the evening, a pizza spread ensured guests were well-fed and ready to dance the night away, with DJ Kieran Higgs keeping the energy high.

Reflecting on a wonderful Guernsey Wedding

Cara-Leah and Charlie's wedding at The Farmhouse Hotel was a true celebration of their love. Every detail, from the exquisite Alena Leena wedding dress and Six Stories bridesmaid dresses to the personalized signs and place cards by Signed by Charlotte, added to the day's charm. It was an honor to capture these moments and create lasting memories for the couple.
