A Perfect Day in Sark: Capturing Charlie and Kris's Wedding

On June 22nd, I had the incredible opportunity to film the wedding of Charlie Carre and Kris Kukula at the stunning Stocks Hotel in Sark. It was a day filled with love, joy, and beautiful moments that I'll never forget.

The day kicked off at Stocks Hotel, where Charlie and Kris got ready surrounded by friends and family. The hotel's historic charm made it feel like we were stepping into a period film – guests even compared it to Bridgerton! The excitement in the air was palpable as everyone prepared for the big event.

The ceremony took place on the hotel's front lawn, and it was nothing short of magical. With a string quartet playing as guests arrived, the atmosphere was serene and sophisticated. Queerly Beloved officiated the ceremony, bringing a personal and inclusive touch that made it even more special. Tiger Lilly florist outdid themselves with stunning floral arrangements that perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the setting.

After the ceremony, we hopped on a horse and carriage for a couple shoot that felt straight out of a fairytale. The ride provided a romantic and whimsical backdrop, allowing me to capture some truly intimate and memorable moments on video.

The reception was held by the pool and in the beautifully decorated Cider Press Room. It was a lively affair with speeches interspersed between courses, and plenty of heartfelt moments shared among family and friends. The warm Sark sun and the joyous atmosphere made it a perfect blend of relaxation and celebration.

While there wasn't a traditional first dance, the dance floor quickly filled up as everyone joined in the celebration. The day was filled with laughter, dancing, and lounging in the sun, creating a laid-back yet festive vibe.

As always, my goal was to document the day in a way that was unobtrusive and natural. I wanted Charlie and Kris to enjoy their special moments without feeling directed or stressed. We stuck to a flexible schedule, ensuring they could savor every part of their day. Sark provided a breathtaking backdrop that made every moment even more special.

I was also joined by JR Photography, who did an amazing job capturing the stills for the day. It was great to collaborate and ensure that both the video and photos truly reflected the magic of Charlie and Kris's wedding.
